Creating a ROOM
We will explain each setting in detail to help you start your Raffle Room. By configuring these appropriately, you can build the optimal draw environment for your event's purpose.
Release Mode
Set the timing for when the draw executes and when participants can see the results. Choose from the three options below based on your event's flow.
Simultaneous Release
Results are revealed all at once at the scheduled time. Creates a shared sense of excitement. Ideal for the climax of an event or when you want everyone to see the results together.
Advance Notification
Participants see their own results instantly, but results are hidden from others until the scheduled time. Suitable when you want individuals to enjoy the result right away, but save the overall reveal for later.
Immediate Release
Results are announced to everyone immediately as they are drawn. Effective for campaigns that value real-time excitement, in-person events, and situations requiring fast-paced progression.
Raffle Item Mode
Custom Items: Specify the item names (prizes, roles, etc.) and quantities individually. Example: 1st Prize x 1, 2nd Prize x 3.
Number Raffle: Randomly draws numbers within a specified range (e.g., from 1 to 100). Useful when managing with numbering.
Losing tickets: You can optionally include "Losing tickets" among the items.
Operation and Detailed Settings
Title & Description: Describe the purpose of the event. This is the first information seen when the URL is shared.
Entry Deadline / Release Date: Set a future date and time in 1-minute increments. The raffle deadline or automatic result publication will occur at this time.
Privacy Settings: Choose whether to publish the results to everyone in "Public Rooms" or limit operation to a specific group using "Link Only".
Participant Comments: You can set whether participants write a comment when drawing (Optional, Required, or Disabled).
Operation Check (Simulation): Before creating, you can use the simulation function to check how the draw will work with the current settings and if the probability balance is good.
Business Member Exclusive Features
- IP Restriction: Allow access only from specific IP addresses like your office or location.
- Access Password: Require a password upon access to prevent leaks.
- Email Notifications: Send notification emails to the organizer when a draw is made or right before the deadline.
Fairness Rules (Important Operational Matters)
The most important aspect of an online raffle is the transparency of "when, to whom, and how it was published". Minfair strongly recommends operating under the following rules.
- Thorough Prior Sharing:
- For Advance/Immediate Announcements: Share the URL with all stakeholders before anyone draws.
- For Simultaneous Announcement: Share the URL with plenty of time before the final execution date (Announcement Time).
- Clear Date and Time Display: The "Announcement Time (Confirmation Time)" set by the organizer is always displayed on the detail screen.
- Reassuring Operation: By sharing the URL in advance and ensuring everyone knows "when and under what conditions the draw will occur", you can establish a fair environment where redo is impossible. This allows all participants to enjoy the process with satisfaction.
The state where "everyone knows the URL and raffle conditions in advance" is the key to maximizing the system's fairness.
Detail Screen Features
Features During the Raffle
This is the phase where participants access the URL and actually enter the draw.
- Copy (Share ROOM): Bulk copy the generated ROOM URL, title, and announcement time in text format. Use this to share with participants via chat tools or social media to encourage participation.
- Participation Process: Participants enter their name (and an optional/required comment) and click "Draw".
- Countdown: The remaining time until the announcement is displayed in real-time, building anticipation.
- Status Display: If you have already drawn, it shows "Already Drawn". If all prizes are gone, it shows "All drawn", helping the event progress smoothly.
Results Announcement and Data Utilization
Features available after the draw is complete and fair results are calculated.
- Raffle Results: A list of who drew what is published. Both organizers and participants verify the results on the same screen.
- CSV Download (Business Member): Save the winner list in CSV format to seamlessly utilize for subsequent communications or aggregation tasks.
Management Features and Ensuring Fairness
Admin Password and Management
Operations are possible using the "Admin Password" set when creating as a guest, or by logging in as a member.
Edit / Delete ROOM: You can modify the title, description, and privacy settings, or completely delete unnecessary ROOMs. However, to ensure fairness, you cannot change settings that affect the draw results, such as the draw contents or types.
Archive Settings (Business Member): You can restrict new access and displays while keeping the results as a history.
Duplicate ROOM (Business Member): You can create a new ROOM carrying over the same prize settings and options from a previously created ROOM. This dramatically improves the efficiency of regular event operations.
A truly fair draw system with cryptographic strength
The Raffle Room employs a cryptographically secure random number generation logic used in modern encrypted communications. Its mathematically proven high unpredictability completely eliminates external guesswork and arbitrary manipulation, providing the highest level of fairness.
